ABB Expands Collaboration with NVIDIA through Integration of DSX Blueprint for AI Infrastructure

News Desk

Data Center Energy News Today – ABB advanced its collaboration with NVIDIA by integrating SimReady™ 3D digital assets of medium-voltage switchgear, electrical distribution equipment, and UPS platforms into the NVIDIA Omniverse DSX Blueprint. This enables data center operators to model, validate, and optimize source-to-rack power systems in unified digital twins before physical deployment, dramatically compressing design cycles for AI factories.

Engineers can now simulate electrical, thermal, and compute interactions at campus scale, test against high-density AI workloads (>1 MW per rack), and order prefabricated modules with confidence.

The move builds on their 2025 agreement to develop 800 VDC power architecture for next-generation AI data centers

“Time-to-first-token drives infrastructure decisions,” noted Jorge Lis, Global Data Center Segment Leader at ABB Electrification. The integration combines ABB’s electrification expertise with NVIDIA’s digital tools for faster, more repeatable deployments of medium-voltage distribution, DC power, and protection systems.

This addresses the explosive growth in AI infrastructure while ensuring efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
